Testimonials
"Natalie and company have helped our daughter grow not only in dance but in daycare and school. Also even when Covid shut down places to have show cases, she & family made a showcase happen at the their own home so the kids could perform and feel good. AWESOME! Thank you and I HIGHLY recommend IDS!"
- S McGlory
"Such an amazing studio!! I am currently a student here at IDA, and I absolutely love dancing here.
It’s a great way to meet other dancers, strengthen your technique, increases your flexibility, and you get to have fun while doing it. They have great coaches, and amazing communication."

We love miss Natalie! You can tell how much she loves and is passionate about what she does. She goes above and beyond to communicate very clearly and always make things work for the dancers. Our daughter looks forward to ballet class all week.

Studio Manager
Hi, my name is Cindy Poll. I am excited to be the studio manager at IDA. Growing up I danced tap, jazz and ballet. I have raised three dancers which has given me 20+ years of experience with costumes making, backstage managing and competition day madness. In my spare time I like to read a good book, play the piano and take my puppy for long walks. I can't wait to get to know all the amazing dancers and parents at IDA.

Jade Sutera
Instructor
Hi! My name is Jade, I have been dancing for about 7 years. Dance became a passion of mine when taking a dance class in junior high, I grew a strong love for it and have been continuously pushing myself further into it by joining my schools dance company team, drill team, and outside dance classes. Though knowing how to dance is a great skill, I think it is also important to have background knowledge. I am still currently furthering my education in dance, and I have taken Dance 1010, Sports Medicine 1275, Health & Wellness, and TONS of dance clinics/classes. My goal here at IDA is to pass on my passion for dance and health awareness to all the young dancers I get to work with.

Payton McQuiston
Instructor
My name is Payton McQuiston and I’ve been dancing since I as 2 years old! Dance has been a part of my life since I could remember, I have been on competitive teams throughout my life and have made dance company in junior high along with Drill in highschool. I’ve been teaching for IDA since 2020 and I have loved every minute of it. Teaching these students has truly been a blessing and I am so grateful to watch them grow year by year. I love Contemporary dance, Jazz, and teaching leaps, turns, and flexibility. Dance has always been my passion so I’m very blessed to teach here at IDA and I’m so excited to see what this year brings!

Elizabeth Brand
Instructor
Elizabeth Brand is a passionate and dedicated dance teacher and competition judge, specializing in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and ballet. Having started her dance journey at the tender age of three, Elizabeth developed a deep love for movement and expression that has only grown over the years. In addition to teaching, she serves as a judge for renowned dance companies such as "Gotta Move," "Hustle," and "Aspire," where she shares her expertise and insight with young dancers. Her teaching approach emphasizes technique, creativity, and self-expression, inspiring her students to explore their unique artistry while building strong foundations in dance. With a warm and encouraging demeanor, Elizabeth fosters a nurturing environment where dancers of all levels can thrive and develop their skills, instilling in them a lifelong appreciation for the art of dance.

Nia Hellewell
Instructor
Nia Hellewell began dancing at the age of four. Before attending Utah Valley University, she was trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and competition clogging for many years. Some of her favorite roles included Belle in Beauty and the Beast and the Queen of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland with Classical Ballet Conservatory. She performed ballet for many years but ultimately fell in love with modern and contemporary dance. As a modern major at UVU, Nia received a performing arts scholarship for Synergy Dance Company and was able to perform works by both UVU faculty and guest artists for two seasons. These included works by: Sarah Donohue, Amy Gunter Lolofie, Brianna McKelleb, and Quilan ‘Cue’ Arnold. Her choreography for Synergy, Inside a Writer’s Mind, was selected to perform in the Informal Concert at the American College Dance Association Conference in Wyoming March 2025. She has loved teaching and choreographing for the past three years and is excited to start her teaching journey with Inspire Dance Academy. She plans to open her own dance studio with her sister one day and hopes to spread the joy of dance to as many people as she can.

Mickey
Instructor
Mickey has been dancing for 26 years. She has taken many different Styles of Dance classes but feels her specialties live within contemporary, lyrical, and jazz styles. She also had opportunities to build in her knowledge of dance with her Jr. High and High School Teams. Her favorite thing about dance is the emotional release and story one piece can share with an audience. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the dancer find their desire within and share it with those they perform to. She strives to be an example to those around her by not only building on the technical side but also the emotions behind the movement, she hopes each dancer will leave her class with a knowledge that Dance is a positive creative outlet they can use no matter where they are.
Outside of Dance, you will most likely find her at Disneyland, up in the mountains or spending any time she can making memories with her family.

Quinn Trutzel
Instructor
Quinn began his dance journey nine years ago with a foundation in Modern Dance. Since then, he has performed with Salt Lake Community College’s Dance Company, contributed to productions at the University of Utah as part of his undergraduate studies in Modern Dance, and participated in various community projects across Salt Lake and Utah counties. Guided by the question, “What can art be?” Quinn challenges conventional habits and assumptions. He values individuality and creativity, shaping his classes to nurture these qualities in his students. His teaching is deeply rooted in his passion for improvisation, choreography, and floor work, all of which are integral to his pedagogy. Quinn firmly believes that dance has the power to enhance emotional intelligence.
